The Ultra Boost is set to return this weekend as part of the adidas Consortium world tour. The comprehensive year-long tour will visit a selection of the planet’s most influential sneaker retailers, with one of the first stops being Copenhagen’s Wood Wood.
Taking influence from gravitational waves that followed the Big Bang event, the release is made up of two shoes. The women’s version features an elasticated band in place of the laces creating a slip on style silhouette, while the men’s version sticks to the original Ultra Boost design in black and white.
The designs feature both adidas and Wood Wood branding to the tongues and are completed by blue and orange colour highlights to the heel tab – a nod towards the gravitational waves which were initially depicted through a chart showing line segments intersected by shaded areas of orange and blue.
The release is expected this weekend (February 27) at selected retailers.
