For this post I thought I would combine two regular series together; outfit of the day and latest pick ups (LPU). I feel like I have slightly overlooked both of these lately, with most recent posts focusing much more on grooming. I’m going to try and do these more regularly, but as you know if you work full time, blog and try to have a social life – it’s hard!
Anyway, back to the subject in focus and in particular this neon rib cage tee from Supreme… How good is it? To say I have been underwhelmed with Supreme FW16 is an understatement. I haven’t really felt the need to ‘have’ any pieces from the drops, there wasn’t any standout pieces for me this season, apart from this tee. So you can imagine how gutted I was to know it was going to drop when I was in Thailand. As expected I missed out on it.
When I returned I trawled eBay and depop to find a white version with very little luck. I ended up paying over retail for a size large (I’m a medium) from a seller over on depop because I wanted it that much. When the tee arrived it wasn’t infact ‘new’ and it had a hole under the arm, so it was swiftly returned. I had almost given up on it when I saw someone I follow had ‘liked’ it on the activity tab. It was white, new and a size M. I managed to haggle him down (I paid £3 over retail) and the rest is history, it’s now in my wardrobe!
Today I have teamed it up with another new addition to my collection – the Flyknit Racers from Nike. It’s no secret I usually go for monochrome footwear. I’m not really one for colour and it also helps black and white will go with anything. These Flyknit racers don’t stray too far from that, however they have some neon detail within the knit construction. Teamed up with the neon colours in the Supreme tee, the two really work together.
I’m not completely won over on this shoe yet. I don’t think they offer enough support as they feel quite flimsy and I wonder how long they will last, but we will see. As it’s a day of errands I have chosen a pair of Nike tech fleece joggers for comfort to complete my outfit of the day. I’m all about comfort lately!
What do you think of my latest pick ups?
